Keeping a childhood memory journal…

I don’t recall where exactly I came across this idea, but here is the gist: Keep a journal and everyday, write down one memory from your childhood.

Now, I’m one of those people who hardly remember much from their childhood. I certainly hope the implication isn’t that my childhood was less than memorable.

I’m hoping this process will be of help – one memory triggers off another and and another and I suddenly go Eureka! And Lo! Most of my childhood is no longer a mystery, but is crystal clear in front of my eyes. (Sort of like when you uncover a big chunk of tiles in minesweeper? Yeah.)

Getting back to what I was saying, I really hope I’ll try this one out and stick with it. We’re constantly making new memories everyday, and it’s slightly depressing to be forgetting them as we go. Apart from keeping a journal (which happens to be the new years’ resolution every year, that lasts until…February, if I’m diligent), I hope I can I do this too in 2011.

What’s your take on this?
